Overview
Westbourne Terrace Residence reimagines a traditional London townhouse through a contemporary lens. The project focused on improving circulation, increasing natural light penetration, and introducing a refined material palette that would feel timeless rather than trend-driven.
Design Concept
The design sought to create a calm architectural backdrop where original period features and contemporary interventions could coexist naturally. Restored moldings, softened transitions, and a restrained palette of limestone, oak, and plaster establish a sense of continuity throughout the home.
"The studio understood how we wanted the house to feel rather than simply how we wanted it to look. Every room feels connected, calm, and deeply personal."
Approach
The design strategy centred on spatial clarity and material restraint. Existing architectural features were restored and complemented with contemporary interventions including custom millwork, integrated lighting, and carefully curated furniture pieces.
